Mechanical Systems Expert Job

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Systems Expert to join our team in Barrow-in-Furness. As a Mechanical Systems Expert, you will be responsible for the design of composite structures, following internal procedures and developing evidence of compliance through written calculations and reports.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design composite structures
  • Develop evidence of compliance through written calculations and reports
  • Undertake peer review checking activities to approve methods and calculations
  • Lead and support the identification and rapid closure of issues emerging from all product lifecycle stages
  • Support technical development and research activities, methods and acceptance criterion, liaising with industrial partners and external customers as necessary
  • Provide realistic programme status, identify problem areas and implement agreed recovery plans
  • Support junior engineers within the team
  • Support installation activities in the production environment

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need a Mechanical Engineering Degree (or related STEM degree) and an understanding of material strength properties (elastic and plastic properties).

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this role is approximately £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience. You will also receive benefits including a competitive pension scheme, enhanced annual leave allowance and a Company contributed Share Incentive Plan.
