Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and motivated leader to join our team as Deputy Director of Operations Surgery. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and managing the day-to-day operations and performance within the Division.

Main Responsibilities

The Deputy Director of Operations Surgery will be responsible for the safe and effective delivery of all patient services for an agreed portfolio of services. This will involve achievement of all operational performance targets across the division, including diagnostics, elective recovery, finance, and the quality of services to patients.

Key Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have significant operational/management experience in the acute sector or equivalent complex public sector environment. They will also have experience, understanding, and implementation of the modernisation agenda and the opportunities for redesigning services.

Person Specification

The successful candidate will have a professional qualification or registration in either management, medicine, nursing, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, or healthcare-related degree/diploma. They will also have a master's degree or equivalent/additional specialist knowledge or training, and evidence of continuous professional development.
