Job Title: Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Hammonds Furniture is seeking an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their Maintenance team on a full-time permanent basis, based in Hinckley, Leicestershire.

About the Role

As a key member of this collaborative team, you will be responsible for ensuring production equipment remains operational for the manufacturing operation. Working across both of the manufacturing sites in Hinckley, you will be responsible for reactive maintenance, proactive maintenance, projects, and inventory control, from fault finding to resolution within agreed timescales, resulting in as little disruption to the operation as possible.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conducting regular maintenance checks to identify potential issues and prevent downtime
  • Carrying out repairs and maintenance tasks to ensure production equipment remains operational
  • Managing inventory levels and ordering spare parts as needed
  • Collaborating with other teams to ensure smooth operation of the manufacturing process
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A wealth of experience within a similar role working with CNC/PLC/PC controlled machine tool or process control production equipment
  • The ability to read and interpret technical drawings to include PLC, electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical
  • Experience in fault finding on Siemens S7 and/or Mitsubishi PLCs
