Gas Service and Repair Engineer Role Overview

We are seeking skilled service and repair engineers to join our team at Rock managed services, a leading heating company. This is a full-time, permanent position that involves carrying out boiler service & repairs in social housing.

Job Summary:

  • Carry out routine maintenance and repairs of gas appliances in social housing
  • Provide exceptional customer service and ensure high-quality workmanship
  • Work independently, managing your time effectively to meet deadlines and targets

About the Job:

The successful candidate will have a strong background in gas engineering, with relevant certifications such as ACS, CKR1, and HTR1. You will be responsible for maintaining a high level of safety standards while working on-site, adhering to all relevant regulations and guidelines.

Salary and Benefits:

The salary for this role is estimated to be between £38,000 and £41,000 per annum, plus SORs (Service Operating Rates) and callout payments. In addition to a competitive salary, you can expect to earn an average of £50-£60,000 per year, with higher earners potentially exceeding £100,000.

Working Conditions:

  • This is a mobile field-based position, requiring regular travel to different locations
  • You will be provided with a van (for business use only), stock, fuel card, and branded uniforms
  • 20 days holiday + bank holidays, paid weekly

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in gas engineering
  • Relevant certifications, including ACS, CKR1, and HTR1
  • Breakdown experience and willingness to undertake callouts
