Job Title: Security Officer

Location: Gracechurch Shopping Centre

Shift Pattern: 4 on 2 off

Hours: 28 hours per week

Rate of Pay: £12 per hour

Reporting To: Security Supervisor

ROLE OVERVIEW AND PURPOSE

This critical role is the public face of the Security Team, requiring a professional and proactive attitude to deliver exceptional customer service and maintain a safe environment for visitors and staff.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide exceptional customer service to visitors and tenants, responding to their needs and concerns in a timely and professional manner.

• Conduct regular patrols of the shopping centre, identifying potential security risks and taking proactive measures to mitigate them.

• Collaborate with the Environmental Services team to deliver a seamless service and identify opportunities for improvement.

• Respond to incidents and emergencies in accordance with site policies and procedures, ensuring the safety of all individuals on site.

• Maintain accurate records of incidents, non-conformances, and emergencies, reporting them to the Control Room as necessary.

• Work closely with the Security Supervisor to ensure effective communication and coordination between team members.

• Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

• Be available to cover additional shifts as required, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to the team's success.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Possess a current SIA front-line licence, with an SIA CCTV licence being advantageous.

• Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups.

• Show a proactive and can-do attitude, with a commitment to delivering exceptional results in a fast-paced environment.
