Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant for Early Years

Job Type: Part-time

Location: Cheltenham

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team in the Early Years department. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to pupils with complex needs, working closely with the class teacher and other support staff to ensure the best possible outcomes for our pupils.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualised support to pupils with SEN, developing positive relationships and managing behaviour
  • Work collaboratively with the class teacher and other support staff to plan and deliver effective learning activities
  • Assist with the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and contribute to the monitoring and evaluation of pupil progress
  • Support the class teacher in the management of pupil behaviour and the creation of a positive learning environment

Requirements:

  • Experience of working with pupils with SEN, preferably in an Early Years setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach
  • Highly organised and able to prioritise tasks effectively, with a strong attention to detail
