The Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented catering support specialist to join our dedicated team at the Juniper Karinya site in Embleton.

The primary purpose of this role is to support kitchen operations by preparing food, maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene in kitchen areas and equipment, and ensuring food safety compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparing and presenting breakfast, lunch, and dinner in accordance with resident requirements and preferences.
• Providing kitchen hand services at the facility, including modifying food texture and apportioning food accurately.
• Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene in kitchen areas and equipment.
• Consistently applying safe food handling practices.
• Adhering to Juniper's Occupational, Safety, and Health requirements.

Key Requirements:

• Must have valid work rights in Australia.
• Previous experience in a commercial cooking or aged care catering environment is preferred.
• Safe food handling practice and hygiene standards with experience in maintaining cleanliness.
• Good written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with residents, customers, and team members.
• Knowledge of relevant chemicals and safe handling practices and procedures for cooking operations.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
