Catering Assistant

Dunstanburgh Castle Golf Course are looking to recruit a kitchen assistant who can produce a high quality of food in volume during our opening hours. You will be focused on supporting and helping implement the day to day running of the kitchen to encompass the service, safety and high standards set by the clubhouse manager.

Main duties and responsibilities include
- Assisting & supporting the clubhouse manager with the day to day running of the kitchen
- Good standards of culinary skills, presentation, and attention to detail
- Ensuring all Health & Hygiene procedures are implemented and adhered to
- Ability to learn & understand changes to the menu.
- Assisting with the ordering of stock
- Filling out all kitchen checks on opening and closing
- Observing the prep sheet and preparing the food for the day
- Cleaning and organising the food preparation area
- Unloading stock and organising the stock rooms
- Checking sell by dates and rotating stock
- Observing cooking times and correct temperatures
- Have the ability to work and train on all areas of the kitchen
- Cleaning kitchen appliances, ovens, dishes, and pans

You must be able to display the following:

- Ability to work quickly but efficiently.
- Positive attitude and being able to keep calm in stressful situations
- Ability to work well with mínimal supervision, using own initiative.
- Team Player.
- Highly reliable.

Working hours include weekends, occasional evening work during summer months. (Hours to be discussed in interview)
