At AKQA Media, we're looking for a talented Senior Motion Designer to join our team. As a key member of our creative team, you'll be responsible for creating visually stunning motion graphics and animations that elevate our output.

The ideal candidate will have a strong portfolio showcasing their creative and technical abilities, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for storytelling through motion. If you're a skilled animator, designer, and problem-solver with a knack for delivering high-quality results under pressure, we'd love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with our creative, strategy, and technology teams to develop and execute motion design elements that meet project objectives and timelines.
  • Animate, edit, and optimize motion graphics, ensuring they align with the project's creative direction and technical specifications.
  • Manage assets and maintain a structured workflow to ensure projects are organized, accessible, and ready for seamless collaboration across teams.
  • Conceptualize motion design ideas through style frames, storyboards, and animatics to communicate your vision to internal teams and clients.
  • Lead the motion design workflow, including planning resources, estimating timelines, and ensuring efficient project delivery.
  • Mentor and guide junior motion designers, fostering their development while maintaining a high standard of creative output across the team.
  • Actively participate in brainstorming sessions, contributing innovative ideas for motion design strategies and creative approaches.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of professional experience in motion design with a portfolio showcasing strong creative and technical abilities across various media formats.
  • Proven expertise in concept development, animation, and design with a keen ability to translate creative briefs into engaging motion graphics that meet project objectives.
  • Excellent organizational skills, able to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high-quality output and meeting deadlines.
  • Expertise in creating dynamic motion graphics, including animation, kinetic typography, particle effects, and visual storytelling through motion.
  • Skilled in both 2D and 3D animation, compositing, and visual effects creation, with a solid understanding of real-time rendering engines like Unreal Engine and virtual production tools.
  • Strong experience with video editing tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro and Final Cut Pro, particularly for integrating motion graphics with live-action footage.
  • A problem-solver with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues and maintain smooth operation of motion design systems and software.
  • Continuously explores new creative techniques, tools, and trends, pushing the boundaries of what's possible in motion design.
