Senior Radiographer Interventional Radiology and Cardiac Angiography

We are seeking an exceptional Senior Radiographer to lead our team in Paediatric Interventional Radiology and Cardiac Angiography. This is a challenging role that requires experience, expertise, and leadership skills.

About the Role:

  • To assist the Superintendent Radiographer in managing the day-to-day operations of the department
  • To maintain high standards of patient care and imaging quality
  • To ensure compliance with WHO surgical checklist and other relevant regulations
  • To take ownership of professional development and contribute to the training and supervision of junior staff
  • To carry out radiographic examinations as per departmental protocols and guidelines
  • To communicate effectively with clinical teams and ward staff to ensure smooth patient flow
  • To undertake research projects and other initiatives as directed by consultants and the superintendent Radiographer

What You Will Do:

  1. Assist the Superintendent Radiographer in managing the department's daily activities
  2. Maintain high-quality imaging and patient care standards
  3. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and protocols
  4. Develop and implement Quality Improvement Projects and train junior staff
  5. Carry out radiographic examinations and procedures as required
  6. Collaborate with clinical teams and ward staff to optimize patient care
  7. Pursue research and other initiatives to advance the field of Paediatric Interventional Radiology and Cardiac Angiography

GOSH is the largest Paediatric Interventional Radiology and Cardiac Angiography service in the UK. We provide treatments for patients from 0-18 years old with various conditions, making us a leader in this field.

Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 per annum
