Fostering Social Worker

An exciting opportunity has emerged for a seasoned social worker to support the Medway Fostering Recruitment Team at Social Personnel. We require an experienced professional to contribute to an extensive recruitment campaign, increasing the number of foster carers for Medway Council.
The ideal candidate will be the initial point of contact for prospective enquirers or foster carers, requiring excellent communication skills to deliver a positive 'first impression'. Their experience and understanding of the needs of children in care will support Initial Enquiries and Registration of Interests, while providing prospective foster carers with factual information about fostering and the process.
Responsibilities include managing enquiries, undertaking home visits, and completing Form F assessments. The successful candidate will also assist the line manager in monitoring enquiries, applications, and the Stage 1 process.
About the RoleApplicants must hold a degree in Social Work and be registered with Social Work England.
- Significant post-qualifying experience of working with children and families.
- A driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes is essential.
