Job Overview

The Lead Nurse for Unscheduled Care is a key role within the NHS Hampshire & Isle of Wight ICB, responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality, safe, and effective care across our three sites. This position requires a professional and motivated individual with a proven track record of management and experience working within Unscheduled Care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the delivery of high-quality care focused on improving outcomes and experiences for patients, families, and carers.
  • Facilitate a broad team approach, communicate effectively, and deliver on the annual divisional strategic objectives.
  • Work closely with the Head of Unscheduled Care and Clinical Director to ensure that urgent and emergency services meet agreed objectives, quality standards, and achieve targets set out in the Divisional Business Plan.
  • Demonstrate good current knowledge in the area and be proactive in relation to external regulatory standards, such as the Care Quality Commission and current best practice in urgent and emergency care.
Requirements
  • Proven track record of management experience within Unscheduled Care.
  • Good current knowledge in the area and proactive approach to external regulatory standards.
  • Ability to facilitate a broad team approach and communicate effectively.
