As part of our Airworthiness and Product Integrity Digital Engineering Capability team, you will play a vital role in developing an optimum certification approach for new and novel technologies and ways of working. This role requires identifying proposals for changes to MRP Part 21 to ensure design organisation approvals reflect the Digital Engineering transformation. In addition, you will contribute to exploiting learning across Air and other BAE Systems Units, as well as the broader industry, including regulators, customers, and suppliers.

About the Role:

This is a challenging opportunity to work on various projects, including the development of the future 6th generation fighter, technological advancements in autonomy, artificial intelligence, and product integrity data linking into the digital engineering environment. You will be part of a collaborative and supportive environment, delivering independent assurance activities associated with airworthiness, product safety, product environmental sustainability, and product security.

Your Salary

GBP54,793 - GBP60,326 (Commensurate with skills and experience).

Your Skills and Experiences:

Essential:
  1. Degree or HNC/HND or demonstrated experience in Airworthiness / Future Capability.
  2. Initial Airworthiness, Certification, Requirements Engineering (DEFSTAN).
  3. Model-Based Systems Engineering and related techniques, processes & tools (ISO 15288).
Desirable:
  1. Knowledge of Engineering Lifecycle and Engineering Integration.
  2. Understanding of Safety Engineering processes, practices & tools.
