Job Title: Depot Manager

Castell Howell Foods, a leading independent food service wholesaler, is seeking a highly skilled Depot Manager to oversee the daily operations of our St Martin's depot in Oswestry.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate customer deliveries, ensuring timely and efficient service.
  • Manage customer requests and anomalies, resolving issues promptly and professionally.
  • Coordinate annual leave for depot staff, ensuring adequate labour coverage during peak periods.
  • Recruit, train, and develop new drivers and assistants to meet Castell Howell Foods' standards.
  • Optimize vehicle and labour resource utilization, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and legal requirements.
  • Coordinate loading and departure of delivery vehicles, accommodating customer requests and daily issues.
  • Monitor and adjust delivery routes to optimize workloads, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage daily/weekly driver infringements, providing training and guidance as needed.
  • Liaise with the Sales Team to drive business growth and efficiency.
  • Conduct regular health and safety checks and maintain a clean and well-maintained fleet.
Requirements:
  • Positive attitude and self-motivation.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage a team of 20+ multi-drop delivery drivers.
