We are seeking a highly skilled Test Automation Lead to join our team at Simplyhealth. As a key member of our quality assurance team, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of automated testing strategies and frameworks to ensure the highest quality of our software solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Define and implement quality and test processes aligned with Agile and Scrum principles.
- Contribute to the delivery of strategy, recognizing strategic imperatives and their impact on your area of work.
- Develop and maintain automation best practices, ensuring their adoption by all squads.
- Collaborate with the automation team to define frameworks and tech stacks that provide the most benefit to Simplyhealth.
- Review and contribute to the overall quality of test scripts.
- Ensure test scenarios and automation scripts are prepared in a structured manner, prioritized to reflect business or technical priorities, and approved by relevant stakeholders.
- Coach and mentor Test Automation Engineers, supporting their training and personal development.
- Work with Software Developers to ensure defects are fixed and re-tested effectively and promptly.
To be considered, you must have:
- Proven experience leading and coaching a team of QA automation engineers and/or QA engineers.
- Experience performing test automation for software applications, delivering high-quality solutions on a range of medium to large-scale projects.
- Experience working in an Agile environment, ideally with an understanding of the shift-left approach.
- Proficiency in UI and API testing.
- Confidence in a range of Test Automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Appium, Playwright, and RestAssured).
- Knowledge of JavaScript and/or TypeScript.
