Financial Specialist Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Specialist to join our team at Bucks and Berks Recruitment. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the local and statutory reporting, managing data from multiple core applications, and maintaining balance sheet accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support AP/P2P function, including AP invoices processing.
  • Support AR function on customer accounts allocation and reconciliation.
  • Ensure full monthly reconciliation and confirmation of all intercompany and related party balances.
  • Liaise with the Treasury Department regarding intercompany loans and derivatives reporting.
  • Support the timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting of results to local management.
  • Perform selective monthly balance sheet reconciliation process and associated quarterly reporting.
  • Prepare ad-hoc financial reporting and management information.
  • Drive process improvement within the Finance team and broader business.
  • Enhance systems knowledge and deploy within the Finance team and broader business.

Requirements:

  • Graduate and finalist/part qualified CIMA/ACA/ACCA.
  • Experience in a relevant Finance/Accountancy role.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and ability to manage significant volumes of data.
  • Strong communication/presentation skills.
  • Inquisitive mind, self-motivated, proactive, and demonstrates initiative.
  • Strong logic and approach to multidimensional problem solving.
  • Shares openly ideas and opinions and is not afraid to lead change in the environment.
  • Good team player.
  • Resilient and able to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
