About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Tax Manager to lead our tax advisory department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for establishing and leading a tax advisory department within our thriving and ambitious firm.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and lead a tax advisory department, providing tax planning and advisory work to a variety of clients
  • Deliver employment tax assignments, managing a significant portfolio of clients and monitoring the commercial aspects of portfolio management
  • Mentor junior staff, reviewing work and providing training to ensure knowledge gaps are addressed
  • Monitor team performance, identifying areas for improvement and providing training as needed
  • Work directly with Directors and Partners to ensure deadlines and fee recovery targets are met
  • Build trusted client relationships, proactively handling queries and problem-solving
  • Stay up-to-date with tax knowledge, championing knowledge sharing across the team

  • CTA/ATT qualified with impressive tax experience within UK practice
  • Excellent knowledge of personal tax compliance processes, issues, and regulations
  • Self-motivated and reliable, eager to progress and take on new challenges
  • Confident in reviewing processes and improving systems to boost efficiency
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Commercial business acumen
  • People management experience with a track record of mentoring junior staff
