About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hairdressing and Barbering Assessor to join our team at North Hertfordshire College. As a key member of our faculty, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality training and assessment to our students, ensuring they achieve their full potential and gain the skills and knowledge required to succeed in the industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver dynamic learning programmes that meet the needs of learners, utilising a diverse range of teaching and learning strategies.
  • Support students in the Retreat Salon and contribute to the delivery and assessment of courses from level 1 to level 3.
  • Contribute to the development and formative assessment of learners to ensure that learning meets individual needs.
  • Maintain a safe learning environment, supporting learners in understanding how to keep themselves and others safe.
  • Promote the fundamental British values of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty, and mutual respect and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs.
Requirements
  • A wide experience in the Hairdressing and Barbering Industry, with suitable and relevant industry experience in most identified roles.
  • Ability to plan and deliver outstanding training programmes and workshops.
  • Teacher or coach with demonstrable experience of supporting outstanding teaching and learning and relevant industry experience.
  • A passion for Hairdressing and Barbering training and skills.
  • Ability to inspire and engage students to achieve their full potential and a passion for teaching and learning.
