Substance Misuse Therapist

About the Role:
- Change Grow Live is seeking a Substance Misuse Therapist to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with service users, carers, and colleagues to provide high-quality care and support.
- You will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating service users with complex health needs, ensuring that their medication is prescribed and reviewed accordingly.
- As a key member of our team, you will maintain effective communication with service users, carers, and colleagues, anticipating barriers to communication and recognizing the need for alternative methods of communication.
- You will also ensure that accurate and contemporaneous records of consultation are maintained, consistent with legislation, policies, and procedures.
- The successful candidate will have at least one year's relevant and recent experience of working within substance misuse treatment and possess sound knowledge of harm reduction and health promotion interventions.
- Excellent communication skills are essential, both verbally and in writing.
About You:
- To be successful in this role, you will need to be a qualified pharmacist with current GPhC registration and two years' post-qualification experience or a First-level registered nurse with a current PIN and three years' post-qualification experience.
- As a Non-Medical Prescriber, you will have the ability to assess and recovery plan service users and formulate written reports as necessary.
- You will also possess excellent problem-solving skills and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
