Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Lincolnshire. As a key member of our commercial team, you will be responsible for managing the cost estimating, tendering, and delivery of construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:- Carry out day-to-day administration of commercial and financial aspects of projects
- Liaise closely with Project Management Teams
- Aid in bid submissions
- Prepare cost and value reporting
- Prepare commercial performance reports
- Manage procurement, including labour, plant, materials, and subcontract
- Contribute to monthly board reports via the Commercial Manager
- Cost control
- Cash collection
- Subcontract management and liaison
- Prior experience as a Quantity Surveyor at pre-construction stage for a construction company or solid experience ready to take a step into a more senior role
- Strong negotiation skills to work with subcontractors and clients to reach positive commercial terms and minimize commercial risks
- Good technical knowledge and skills in the construction sector and a good knowledge of commonly used contracts and frameworks
- A degree/HND or equivalent in Commercial Management/Quantity Surveying or other construction-related subject or substantial previous experience in a similar position
- Commercially and contractually astute individual that takes ownership of performance
- Proactive person with a disposition to take action pre-emptively to manage risk and opportunity
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
- Results-driven with the capability of working on their own initiative
- Ability to deal with large amounts of data accurately and efficiently
- High attention to detail
