About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Infrastructure team. As a key member of our commercial team, you will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of our infrastructure projects, ensuring that we deliver high-quality services to our clients while maintaining a strong focus on cost management and risk mitigation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the financial aspects of infrastructure projects, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Provide expert advice on commercial matters, including contract negotiation, dispute resolution, and claims management.
  • Lead and manage a team of quantity surveyors and commercial staff to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with projects, including cost, time, and quality risks.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve commercial performance, including process improvements and cost savings initiatives.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a commercial or quantity surveying role, preferably in the infrastructure sector.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial contracts, including NEC and Option C.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects and priorities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Professional qualification such as MCIOB or MRICS, ideally Incorporated member, working towards full membership.
