Job Description

Folkestone Girls School seeks a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Professional to work collaboratively with our teaching staff to create a nurturing learning environment for primary-aged children with complex needs.

This role involves working closely with pupils who have autism, social emotional and mental health challenges, providing tailored support to enhance their educational experience.

The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing effective strategies to promote engagement and inclusion, while maintaining a safe and supportive classroom atmosphere.

We are seeking an individual who is passionate about inclusive education, committed to making a lasting difference in the lives of our students, and willing to take initiative as part of a supportive team.

About the Role
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to implement creative and effective learning strategies.
What We're Looking For
  • Ideal candidates will hold an NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in Childcare or SEND practice, with experience working with pupils with special educational needs.
  • Demonstrated flexibility, patience, and proactivity are essential for this role, alongside a commitment to continuous professional development.

Salary and Benefits

£20,000 - £22,000 per annum (pro-rata), dependent on experience and qualifications. A comprehensive benefits package includes national terms and conditions, CPD opportunities, and access to wellbeing initiatives.
