About the Position

The Local Government Finance Professional will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations and ongoing development of our financial systems. The successful candidate will have at least 1 year of finance experience and hold a relevant qualification such as AAT or CIPFA Certificate level.

The position involves reconciliations, training budget managers, maintaining the Chart of Accounts, and carrying out testing and analytical reviews. The estimated salary for this role is £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Responsibilities

  • Reconciliations of subledgers and interfaces to the general ledger;
  • Training budget managers and finance staff to use the financial systems effectively;
  • Maintaining the Chart of Accounts;
  • Carrying out testing, analytical reviews, and data quality assurance to ensure a high standard of transactional data in the financial system.
