About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Shift Leader to join our team at Tesco Rotherham Wath-Upon-Dearne Extra. As a Shift Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing the store operations, ensuring a smooth and efficient customer experience, and leading a team of colleagues to achieve our goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate store operations, including opening and closing procedures, to ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • Lead a team of colleagues, providing guidance, support, and coaching to ensure they are equipped to deliver excellent customer service.
  • Manage store inventory, including receiving and stocking merchandise, to ensure accurate and efficient inventory management.
  • Monitor and maintain store appearance, including cleaning and maintenance, to ensure a clean and welcoming environment for customers.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and management to achieve sales targets, improve customer satisfaction, and drive business growth.
  • Stay up-to-date with company policies, procedures, and initiatives, and communicate these to colleagues as needed.
Requirements
  • Proven leadership and management experience in a retail environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire colleagues.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on delivering results and meeting deadlines.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
