Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Area Sales Manager to join our team at Cavendish Maine. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for covering a small sales area for a well-established construction trade supplier.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of 180 existing customers and drive sales growth through effective account management and business development.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers at all levels, including builders, contractors, and civil engineering firms.
  • Work closely with the Bath depot team to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Identify and pursue new sales opportunities, generating quotes and negotiating orders to secure business.
  • Regularly report against annual sales targets, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.

About the Company:

Cavendish Maine is a highly successful, award-winning business with 40 years of trading history and 40% growth in the last three years. We supply construction industry products and services to a wide range of customers, with a reputation for quality, reliability, and excellent customer service.

Requirements:

  • At least three years of field sales experience in the construction products sector.
  • Living in the Bath/Bristol area.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers.
  • A proven track record of sales achievement and success in a similar role.
  • Friendly, sociable, and a great team player.

Benefits:

  • Basic salary £35,000 - £40,000.
  • 1% commission on all new revenue.
  • 15% bonus for achieving target.
  • £4,200 car allowance.

  • 25 days holiday.
