About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled DevSecOps Engineer to join our team at esure Group. As a key member of our multi-disciplined DevSecOps team, you will be responsible for protecting our information systems and networks from security breaches and cyber threats.

Key Responsibilities
  • Network Firewall Operations: Set up new firewalls and firewall rules in Fortigates to ensure the security and integrity of our network infrastructure.
  • Security Integration: Embed security tools and practices into our DevOps workflow, specifically on the CI/CD pipelines, to automate security checks and ensure the security of our software development lifecycle.
  • Vulnerability Management: Manage software vulnerabilities using tools such as Wiz, Sonarcloud, Cobalt, and other DevSecOps tools to identify and remediate potential security risks.
  • Configuration Management: Detect cloud and Kubernetes misconfiguration and build correct configuration guidance for DevOps and Developers using tools like Terraform to ensure the security and compliance of our cloud infrastructure.
  • Reporting: Build reports detailing KPI trends and the overall security health of the organization to provide insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Training and Education: Provide advice and training to staff to raise awareness of information security and promote good security practices to ensure a culture of security within the organization.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated ability within a Networks team to ensure the security and integrity of our network infrastructure.
  • Ability to set up and maintain Fortigate NGFW to ensure the security of our network infrastructure.
  • Committed to upskilling in all facets of cloud, including networking, security, infrastructure setup, and management, to ensure the security and compliance of our cloud infrastructure.
  • Ability to analyze and generate Network Packet Captures to identify and remediate potential security risks.
  • Comfortable setting up and maintaining IPSec VPNs and SSL VPNs to ensure secure remote access to our network infrastructure.
  • Proficient in resolving network issues to ensure the security and integrity of our network infrastructure.
  • Ability to quickly research and learn new DevSecOps tools and techniques to stay up-to-date with the latest security threats and technologies.
  • Solid grasp of cloud platforms and their network and security features to ensure the security and compliance of our cloud infrastructure.
  • Exposure to at least one programming/infrastructure as code language, such as Python and Terraform, to ensure the security and compliance of our cloud infrastructure.
  • Basic understanding and hands-on experience in Cloud Networking to ensure the security and integrity of our network infrastructure.
  • Basic knowledge of Cloud architectures and willingness to learn more about cloud to ensure the security and compliance of our cloud infrastructure.
  • Experience working on technical projects within a cross-functional team to ensure the security and integrity of our network infrastructure.
Desirable Skills
  • Familiarity with security tools such as static code analysis (SAST), dynamic analysis (DAST), and vulnerability scanners to ensure the security of our software development lifecycle.
  • Past experiences of security automation, including roles like security engineering and security operations, to ensure the security and compliance of our cloud infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes to ensure the security and compliance of our cloud infrastructure.
  • Superb communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to communicate security-related concepts to a broad variety of technical and non-technical staff to ensure a culture of security within the organization.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, and Windows and Linux operating systems to ensure the security and compliance of our cloud infrastructure.
