About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Podiatrist to join our team in the Wakefield district. As a member of our Podiatry team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality podiatric interventions to patients in a variety of community clinical, GP, and domiciliary settings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement clinically effective Podiatry interventions to the population covered by Podiatry.
  • Act as an autonomous practitioner using clinical expertise, decision-making, and problem-solving skills to provide a high-quality service.
  • Provide a range of high-quality podiatric interventions, including treatment of the at-risk foot, to patients with complex medical healthcare needs.
  • Liaise with other healthcare professionals and organisations to ensure all appropriate agencies are aware of assessment, treatment, or advice offered to patients.
  • Contribute to service developments, including the development of policies, standards, and service planning processes.

Requirements

  • Degree in Podiatric Medicine or equivalent.
  • Local Anaesthesia Certificate endorsed by the Royal College of Podiatry.
  • HCPC podiatry registration.
  • Demonstrable post-registration experience, including treatment of the at-risk foot.
  • Experience of working with multidisciplinary teams.
