About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT professional to join our team as a Senior IT Service Designer. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a leading home improvement company, Kingfisher, and contribute to the design and delivery of high-quality IT services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver new IT services for Kingfisher group across various technical services.
  • Provide technical governance across projects, business-as-usual (BAU) activities, and related service improvement programs (SIPs).
  • Engage with wider designers and architects to achieve program consistency.
  • Advise colleagues and customers on the feasibility and risks of potential solutions and support the creation of initiatives.
  • Create infrastructure designs and perform solution evaluations as needed against requirements, balancing requirements, costs, and risk.
  • Manage and monitor workload through JIRA EPICS and Stories.
  • Define detailed activity and resource plans to deliver project and SIP outcomes.
  • Deliver new technical services as part of a project team or manage third-party services, delivery partners, and external vendors to deliver solutions.
  • Act as an evangelist within the IT community, promoting the use of various tools and technologies.
  • Contribute to the development of the company's IT strategy, roadmaps, and standards, and engage with product vendors and industry experts as necessary.
Requirements
  • Extensive experience working in a third-line technical support role.
  • Experience designing and delivering various technical services within a complex enterprise environment.
  • Recognized as a subject matter expert (SME) for relevant product groups related to the role.
  • Demonstrable feedback-driven approach to service design and service improvement.
  • Experience working within a large organization with a globally disparate user base.
  • Relevant experience working with managed service providers and third-party vendors.
  • A 'technologist' mindset, with a detailed understanding of vendor roadmaps, group technology roadmaps, business, and industry challenges and trends, and the ability to translate these into a roadmap or strategy to develop services.
  • Proficiency in areas such as Intune, Windows 11, Autopilot, PowerShell, and Modern Management.
