Data Insights and Analytics Manager

BSI is seeking a highly skilled Data Insights and Analytics Manager to lead our data analytics strategy and support the overall data strategy. This is an exciting opportunity to drive quality data insights and support business decisions, as well as define and develop data products to enable self-service and data-driven decision making.

About the Role:

This role combines the discipline of data analytics, insights development, and delivery, with the bringing of insights to life through data storytelling and presentation. You will lead the team, provide hands-on capability for the delivery of scalable and reusable data solutions, and build, optimize, and maintain data applications, systems, and services.

  • Lead the Data Insights & Analytics service line.
  • Drive the delivery of projects/high-profile data initiatives, including Predictive Analytics.
  • Lead a team focused on delivering data solutions, driving data visualization and analytics capabilities in line with the Global Data Strategy across BSI.
  • Own the data insights strategy to provide best-in-class self-serve analytics and reporting.
  • Motivate and manage team performance in delivering to agreed timelines.
  • Lead in helping maintain the integrity of existing data solutions, ensuring data is correct and up-to-date.
  • Best practice build, optimize, and maintain data applications, products, systems, and services through provisioning and curation of data, to deliver business value.
  • Knowledge of and ability to bring new technologies and processes into the organization and lead on the development of the data analytics and insights evolution.
  • Lead on data centricity within BSI and provide guidance for all users.
  • Detailed experience to lead the team in the adoption and maintenance of Agile working methodologies.
  • Leading the team to ensure data security policies are applied, and updating policies where relevant.
  • Lead on the production and maintenance of documentation (e.g., data development, curation data models, data flows).
  • Lead the building and maintenance of strong relationships with key stakeholders across BSI as an individual and leading the same activity across the GDF team.

Requirements:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as expertise in data visualization, data mining, and statistical analysis.
  • Proficient PowerBI, Tableau, and Python user.
  • Knowledge of data modeling. Producing data models and understanding where to use different types.
  • Data Product Design to build scalable and useful data insights.
  • Substantial experience in Agile delivery and championing a DataOps culture.
  • Proficiency in insights and analytics best practices, including predictive analytics, and the usage of data science in the delivery of insights.
  • Experience in writing complex queries.
  • Experience of managing teams made up of diverse range of data professionals.
