Surgical Care Coordinator

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and communicative Patient Admission Pathway Co-ordinator to support the elective surgical admissions in our Day Surgery Unit. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for contacting patients booked onto the elective theatre lists to confirm their attendance and discuss specific questions to ensure pre-operative requirements have been met.
Main Responsibilities:
- Confirm patient admission for elective surgery to reduce cancellations on the day of surgery
- Contact patients booked onto the elective theatre lists to confirm attendance and discuss specific questions
- Work with the Day Surgery Unit team to escalate any concerns that may impact surgical admissions
