Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Export Aerospace Air Operator to join our team at First Choice Staff. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a large established Freight Forwarder and be part of a dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance with Customs regulations and procedures, maintaining accurate documentation and records.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, providing exceptional service and support.
  • Complete retrospective Customs compliance actions, ensuring all necessary procedures are followed.
  • Process Customs entries for Specialist License movements, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date Job Files, reflecting all commercially relevant information and services provided.
  • Liaise directly with Carriers, Handling Agents, and other departments to resolve exceptions and discrepancies.
  • Coordinate shipment planning and execution, working closely with Transport and Warehouse teams.
  • Collaborate with overseas offices to ensure seamless shipment planning and coordination.
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements, ensuring all necessary milestones and remarks are updated in Cargo wise.
  • Manage allocated customers, adhering to agreed Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
  • Utilize Cargo wise to create, manage, and maintain Airfreight shipments, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Update the Internal Complaint Tool with all required inputs, including root cause and solution.
  • Contribute to the measurement of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Participate in weekly team briefing sessions, ensuring open communication and collaboration.
  • Complete all statutory and mandatory training, staying up-to-date with industry developments.
  • Perform other duties as required, supporting the team and contributing to the company's success.
Requirements:
  • Experience within the Freight Forwarding Industry, with a strong understanding of Exports and related processes.
  • Knowledge of HMRC procedures and regulations.
  • Commercial awareness, with the ability to analyze and interpret data.
  • Clear and concise communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to follow processes and procedures, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Inter-personal skills, including influencing, communication, relationship management, cultural awareness, and the ability to work across teams.
