Job Description

Job Summary:

Boeing Defence UK is seeking an Aviation Technical Publications Development/Authoring Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Product Support Engineering Department, you will be responsible for organizing, reviewing, and editing technical publications, documentation, and related data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather and analyze customer requirements to understand scope and required elements.
  • Review technical support publications for grammatical errors, format, and style per guidelines.
  • Contribute to establishing standards and guidelines for technical document structure and format.
  • Recommend content edits to improve clarity, impact, flow, meaning, and readability.
  • Research source data to verify that support publications are technically accurate.
  • Participate in reviews internally and with the customer.
  • Maintain document configuration, data files, and archives.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on a range of technical publications supporting the CH-47 Chinook Helicopter contract. You will be part of a dynamic team that delivers technical skills, expertise, and products into our programmes.

Requirements:

Essential experience of technical publications and knowledge of writing specifications. Desirable – rotary wing experience, knowledge of CH-47 maintenance, S1000D, Framemaker experience.

Working Arrangements:

This position will report to the Technical Publications Manager based in Yeovil but will be required to be based at RAF Odiham, on a hybrid working pattern.
