Job Description

Role Overview

Boeing Defence UK is seeking an experienced Aviation Technical Publications Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Product Support Engineering Department, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining high-quality technical publications to support the CH-47 Chinook Helicopter contract.

Key Responsibilities

  • Organize, review, and edit technical publications, documentation, and related data to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Gather and analyze customer requirements to understand scope and required elements.
  • Review technical support publications for grammatical errors, format, and style per guidelines.
  • Contribute to establishing standards and guidelines for technical document structure and format.
  • Recommend content edits to improve clarity, impact, flow, meaning, and readability.
  • Research source data to verify that support publications are technically accurate.
  • Participate in reviews internally and with the customer.
  • Maintain document configuration, data files, and archives.

Requirements

  • Essential experience of Technical Publications and knowledge of writing specifications.
  • Desirable – rotary wing experience, knowledge of CH-47 maintenance, S1000D, Framemaker experience.
