Assembly Technician II

As an Assembly Technician II at Advanced Energy, you will be responsible for performing routine electronic assembly operations on components or subassemblies. Your duties will include assembling electronic components, sub-assemblies, and chassis to meet production schedules and performance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Use Operational Method Sheets, drawings, schematics, and electronic assembly equipment to assemble, modify, rework, or re-assemble units.
  • Work on assignments that are semi-routine in nature, requiring the ability to recognize nonconformities.
  • Communicate openly and effectively in a professional manner.
  • Understand and follow all safety requirements.
  • Understand and follow ISO practices and procedures.
  • Maintain fixturing, perform calibration, preventive maintenance, and corrective maintenance.
  • May assist with training other employees in established processes.
  • Travel may be required.
  • Consider the impact of quality on customers when making decisions.

Qualifications:

  • All requirements of an Assembler I.
  • Works under limited supervision.
  • Expected to assist in training other employees in established processes.
  • Demonstrates the ability to initiate and contribute to corrective actions.
  • Ensures all tasks are performed accurately and completely.
  • Demonstrates the ability to be cross-trained on multiple product platforms.
  • Demonstrates the ability to initiate and contribute to improving processes, lead times, throughput, and cost.
  • Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing and 5S concepts.
  • Basic computer skills, including Word and Outlook, and ability to understand AE processes, such as Zeus.
  • Basic understanding of core SAP applications and ECO and DMR.
  • Minimum of 1-year electro-mechanical assembly experience (or equivalent).

  • Physical Requirements: Standing, sitting, walking, heavy lifting, carrying without assistance, pushing, pulling.
