About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Test Technician - NPI to join our team at CMR & Life Sciences. As a key member of our production team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and performance of electronic equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform various production assembly operations on electronic components and sub-assemblies.
  • Utilise test procedures, drawings, schematics, and verbal/written instructions to test and troubleshoot units.
  • Work on semi-routine assignments, recognising nonconformity's and ensuring adherence to production schedules.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with colleagues and team members.
  • Adhere to all safety requirements in the workplace.
  • Maintain fixturing, perform calibration, and carry out preventive and corrective maintenance.
  • Work under limited supervision, contributing to the training of other employees and initiating corrective actions.
  • Ensure tasks are performed accurately and completely.
  • Effectively cross-train on multiple product platforms.
  • Contribute to process improvements, lead time reduction, and cost-saving initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in electrical circuits and assemblies testing preferred.
  • Proven ability to be flexible and adapt in a team environment.
  • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing and 5S concepts.
  • Intermediate computer knowledge, including AE Nexus, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Proficiency in pertinent SAP applications.
  • Minimum of two years' experience in electronic testing and troubleshooting (or equivalent).
  • Experience in designing, developing, and implementing new test fixturing.
  • Knowledge and understanding of ESD practices.
  • HNC or Electrical Electronics Degree.

Working Hours: Monday to Thursday from 07:00 to 15:30 and Friday from 07:00 to 12:00.

Rate of Pay: Competitive rates of pay between £12 and £14 per hour.
