Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Clinical Scientist to join our Biochemical Genetics Laboratory team at North Thames Genomics Laboratory Hub. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing scientific services and clinical advisory services in the areas of Newborn Bloodspot and Foetal Anomaly Screening.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain specialised knowledge in Newborn Bloodspot and Foetal Anomaly Screening.
  • Provide scientific services and clinical advisory services within these areas.
  • Take an active role in service development and improvement.
Requirements
  • HCPC registration as a Clinical Scientist (or close to obtaining registration).
  • Master's Degree in Biochemistry or Clinical Biochemistry.
  • Previous working experience in Newborn Bloodspot or Foetal Anomaly Screening or Biochemical Genetics laboratory.
  • Experience of using techniques/analysers such as LC-MS/MS, GC-MS, AutoDELFIA, HPLC.
