About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Scientist to join our team at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. As a key member of our MR physics group, you will be responsible for providing technical and scientific MRI support to the Trust and external customers.

Main Duties
  • Provide expert scientific advice and support for the MRI services at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.
  • Develop and implement multiple aspects of the MR physics service, including MR safety advice, site planning, procurement, protocol development, acceptance testing, QA, complex clinical scan support, teaching and training.
  • Participate in research and development programmes within the MRI group and collaborate with other Trust and University departments.
  • Provide high-level, highly specialist scientific input to strategic service developments relating to the clinical MRI service.
  • Plan and participate in the development of appropriate quality systems for MRI, ensuring that the services provided by the MR group are of the highest quality.
Requirements
  • Good (1st or 2nd class) honours degree in physical sciences.
  • HCPC clinical scientist registration.
  • MSc in medical physics or equivalent.
