We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will work as a Specialist Nurse - Non-medical Prescriber within our service, providing high-quality care to individuals with addiction issues. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced nurse to make a real difference in the lives of our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work alongside prescribers to assist with prescribing of Opiate Substitute prescriptions (OST)
  • Coordinate and manage community alcohol detox, including prescribing required for safe delivery
  • Manage data and produce reports for commissioners and trust forums
  • Provide training for the team, new staff, and students
  • Develop links with inpatient detox services and other external partners
  • Prescribe medication for alcohol detoxifications and relapse prevention
  • Act as a point of contact for prescribing issues
  • Provide clinical supervision and leadership to the wider teams

Requirements:

  • Non-medical prescribing qualification
  • Relevant knowledge and experience of Addictions
  • Strong commitment to high-quality client care
  • Good organisational skills and prioritisation of workload
