Main Responsibilities:

At Pear Tree Surgery, we are seeking a skilled Family Medicine Physician to join our team. As a Family Medicine Physician, you will be responsible for providing high-quality primary care to our patients, including assessing their healthcare needs, screening for disease risk factors, and providing counseling and health education.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Assessing patients' healthcare needs and developing personalized care plans
  • Screening patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness
  • Providing counseling and health education to patients and their families
  • Accurately referring or signposting patients to secondary care when necessary
  • Completing daily tasks accurately and in a timely manner, including actioning results and clinical correspondence, signing repeat prescriptions, and dealing with queries
  • Supporting patients in the management of chronic diseases, conducting periodic reviews, and correctly coding patient records for the purpose of QOF
  • Working collaboratively with the practice admin team to ensure referrals, tests, and appointments requests are correctly completed and communicated
  • Utilizing clinical system (EMIS) to full potential to create efficiencies and improve patient outcomes
