Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to provide tailored support to two children with identified SEN needs in our thriving school environment.

The successful candidate will be involved in providing 1:1 and shared support, ensuring the children are fully included in classroom activities, which foster a positive learning experience.

The role requires:

  1. A patient and empathetic approach, establishing strong relationships with the children and supporting their development in communication, social, and emotional skills.
  2. Collaboration with the class teacher and SENCo to adapt activities and resources to meet the children's specific needs, driving individual progress.

  • A patient, empathetic, and nurturing attitude, essential for creating a secure and confident learning environment.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, enabling effective collaboration with colleagues.

Location: North Winchester
Salary Range: £18,000 - £25,000 per annum
Hours: Part-time (Monday, Tuesday, and Friday) or full-time for the right candidate, 8.30am - 3.15pm (times may vary)
Requirements:

  1. Experience working with children in the Early Years Foundation Stage, particularly those with SEN.
  2. Knowledge of strategies and interventions to support children with a range of additional needs.

To be eligible for this role, you must hold the right to work in the UK, an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service, provide references upon request, and possess up-to-date Safeguarding Training.
