Job Role Overview

Compass Point Recruitment Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Service Engineer to join their team. This exciting opportunity involves the installation, commissioning, and maintenance/repair of in-house manufactured flow chemistry equipment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in laboratory service or installation roles, with a minimum of 2 years' experience. A NVQ Level 3 or Higher Diploma/Degree in engineering or chemical engineering is also required.

The role requires frequent travel (approximately 50% of the time) to various locations, including Europe, the USA, and the Far East. The successful candidate must be comfortable with travelling and visiting customers.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Complete training and qualification on the company's flow chemistry systems.
  2. Perform maintenance and upgrade services on-site in laboratories and at the factory.
  3. Discuss applications and gather information from customers' experiences.
  4. Ensure customer satisfaction by advising on preventative maintenance and repair.
  5. Provide technical support to customers via phone and email.
  6. Creation of technical bulletins and guides to assist customers.
Desirable Qualifications and Skills
  1. Experience within the scientific industry and working in a laboratory environment.
  2. Electro-Mechanical experience.
  3. Experience working overseas.
  4. Able to work with minimal supervision after training.
  5. Confident with Windows, Excel, and Word.
