As a Medical Director for Specialized Care in the Scottish Highlands, you will be at the forefront of delivering exceptional medical services to the population of Lochaber and beyond. Our team of highly skilled professionals is dedicated to providing top-notch care, and we are seeking an exceptional individual to join us in this mission.
The Chronic Pain Management Service, which covers a vast area from John o' Groats to the Mull of Kintyre, is a critical component of our service. Our multidisciplinary team, comprising Clinical Nurse Specialists, Specialist Physiotherapy, Psychology, and a Service Improvement Manager, works closely together to provide comprehensive care to our patients. As a Medical Director, you will be responsible for leading this team and ensuring that our services are of the highest quality.

As a Medical Director, you will be responsible for leading our team of medical professionals, providing clinical guidance and support, and ensuring that our services are delivered to the highest standards. You will also be expected to contribute to the development of our services, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead our team of medical professionals in delivering high-quality medical services to the population of Lochaber and beyond.
- Provide clinical guidance and support to our team and ensure that our services are delivered to the highest standards.

Requirements:
- Must be a highly motivated and experienced medical professional.
- Must have a strong track record of delivering high-quality medical services.
- Must have excellent leadership and management skills.
- Must be able to work effectively in a team environment.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
Working Hours: The working hours for this position are 37 hours per week, with the option to work additional hours as needed. The on-call frequency is 1:4, with prospective cover, and the on-call frequency attracts a supplement of 8% in line with the Terms and Conditions of Service.
Location: The position is based in Fort William, a vibrant and welcoming community in the Scottish Highlands. The location offers a unique and breathtaking landscape, perfect for outdoor enthusiasts.
