Connaught Resourcing, a leading recruitment agency, is partnering with a National Service provider to fill permanent positions for Diabetes Specialist Nurses across the country. As a key member of our client's nationwide team, you will work in primary care settings, conducting clinics and providing specialist care to patients with Type 2 diabetes.

About the Role:
  • Location: Nationwide
  • Job Type: Full-time/Part-time (4 days)
  • Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:30pm

You will be responsible for identifying sub-optimally controlled patients with Type 2 diabetes, optimizing their oral therapy, conducting point-of-care testing, and referring for specialist insulin treatment where necessary. Additionally, you will exercise corporate nursing responsibilities.

Key Requirements:
  1. Degree in Nursing or equivalent qualification
  2. A minimum of 3 years experience (post-registration) managing diabetes in primary care
  3. Knowledgeable and confident in providing education, support, and advice to people with Type 2 Diabetes
  4. Skills and knowledge in optimising oral hypoglycaemics
  5. Full driving license
  6. Current NMC registration
  7. IT literacy, including primary care systems
