Job Title: Administrative Support Officer
This role supports the delivery of a comprehensive administrative service, encompassing inpatient and outpatient waiting list management, appointment communication, and typing services. The ideal candidate will possess administration/secretarial experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Main Responsibilities and Duties- Supporting the management of waiting lists, adhering to the patient access policy and contributing to the achievement of 2-week wait and 18-week pathway targets.
- Effective communication of appointments and admission-related information to patients and carers, utilizing personal judgment to ensure sensitive and confidential handling.
- Delivering high-quality typing services, meeting performance targets as necessary.
- Maintaining strong working relationships through exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 GCSEs or equivalent (including maths & English)
- NVQ Level 2 in Business Administration (or equivalent experience)
- Proven experience working with medical terminology
Salary Information
The estimated salary for this role is £27,000 - £37,000 per annum, depending on experience.
