Job Overview

Greater Manchester Mental Health (GMMH) Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Occupational Therapist to join our Community Mental Health Team. The successful candidate will work with older adults, providing evidence-based Occupational Therapy assessments and interventions to support individuals in achieving their goals and improving their mental health and wellbeing.

Main Duties of the Job
  • Provide Occupational Therapy assessments and interventions for older adults in a community setting
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate risks
  • Provide education and support to individuals, families, and carers
  • Participate in the development and implementation of service-wide initiatives
Requirements
  • Diploma/Degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
  • Experience of working with older adults in a mental health setting
  • Knowledge of mental health legislation and policies
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
