About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at Lotus Bakeries. As a key member of our quality management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety, quality, and legality of our products across various brands, including BEAR and Urban Fruit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Visiting and auditing third-party manufacturers to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards
  • Maintaining supplier and product risk assessments to identify potential issues and drive continuous improvement
  • Ensuring products meet relevant food and age group legislation, and proactively addressing any upcoming legislation changes
  • Developing and implementing quality and food safety standards for new product development and existing product ranges
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve quality and food safety-related queries and issues
  • Streamlining and improving our Quality Management System in conjunction with the Lotus QA team
  • Liaising with suppliers and the central Lotus QA team to ensure product and site certifications are maintained and meet international market requirements
  • Preparing and reporting quality key performance indicators (KPIs) to senior management
Desirable Skills and Experience
  • Knowledge of HACCP principles and ability to apply them to different product categories
  • Good understanding of GFSI recognized standards and ability to communicate effectively
  • Experience in performing risk assessments and communicating outcomes
  • Track record of delivering results in product quality and supplier compliance
  • Previous experience in a technical role, working with cross-functional departments and third-party manufacturers
  • Good knowledge of Quality Management Systems and experience in writing procedures and internal auditing
  • Strong relationship-building skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
