Maintenance Engineer II, Manufacturing Engineering

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer II to join our Manufacturing Engineering team at Thermo Fisher Scientific. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for participating in a wide range of maintenance engineering activities throughout our production footprint.
Key Responsibilities- Engage in problem-solving and lean manufacturing techniques to identify and resolve maintenance issues, ensuring minimal equipment downtime.
- Drive improvements across the maintenance team to enhance efficiency, maintain high standards of 5S, and eliminate or reduce waste and non-value-added activities.
- Complete important documentation, including highlighting errors or bad practices and making suggestions for improvements.
- Utilize external resources to acquire services and components, generating and completing the necessary documentation.
- Have awareness of and control spares in an efficient manner.
- Hold accountability and responsibility for ensuring all personal activities are reliably closed on time, against agreed targets.
- Write clear and accurate maintenance instructions and assist with the organizing and delivering of training and/or instruction of engineering and non-engineering staff.
- Provide cover for team members, including Technical Specialists and Engineering Coordinators as defined.
- We are searching for a multi-skilled engineer with a good understanding of electrical control and automated systems.
- A standard of technical skills of HND level or higher and the ability to demonstrate expertise in working within a manufacturing environment.
- A proactive and logical person who can use problem-solving, utilizing the company's lean philosophies.
- Ability to work to critical timelines and effective interpersonal skills are key to high-level performance in this position.
- Alignment to COMAH standards is critical.
