Job Description

We are seeking a Community Project Officer (FTC Till March 2025) to join our team in this exciting new role. As a Community Project Officer, you will work closely with the project lead and local partners to develop, deliver, and monitor a range of upskilling and mentoring support for people aged 16 plus.

The successful candidate will have relevant experience in community-based projects, demonstrating a track record of collaborating with diverse groups and stakeholders to drive positive community outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development and delivery of a range of interventions and personal development activities and community projects within identified neighborhoods.
  • Develop positive relationships with key agencies.
  • Actively recruit and engage participants in sessions and activities.
  • Help individuals develop confidence and overcome barriers.
  • Support the development, delivery, monitoring, and evaluation of a wide range of universal, targeted interventions.
  • Effectively manage caseloads, achieve targets and objectives, and demonstrate impact.
  • Ensure familiarity with and compliance to Newground's policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Valid full driving license and access to a car.
  • Relevant experience in community-based projects.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience of working with adults from 16+.
  • Ability to motivate and empower customers.
  • Experience of developing positive working relationships.
