Job Overview

We are seeking a highly organised and enthusiastic Attendance Compliance Officer to join our team at Unity College in Lancashire.

The role of Attendance Compliance Officer is crucial to ensure students attend regularly and have the best chance of academic success. This position involves early intervention to address absenteeism, ensuring legal compliance, and engaging with parents, carers, and relevant agencies to create a supportive environment and maximise attendance.

The ideal candidate will have experience in leading a team, working with young people, and improving attendance in an educational setting. They should possess excellent communication skills, the ability to relate effectively to young people, and a commitment to safeguarding and protecting the welfare of children and young people.

The successful candidate will be committed to the vision and values of the College, demonstrating these at all times within their role.

About the Role

As Attendance Compliance Officer, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing strategies to improve student attendance
  • Working closely with teachers, parents, and carers to address attendance issues
  • Collaborating with other departments to identify and support students who are at risk of exclusion
  • Providing guidance and support to students on attendance-related matters
