Job Title: Head of Operations and People

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Head of Operations and People to lead our operations and people strategies. This role is essential for driving operational efficiency, enhancing employee engagement, and supporting our company's overall growth and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operations Management: Oversee day-to-day operations across all fitness sites, ensuring high standards of service delivery, safety, and compliance.
  • Develop and Implement Operational Strategies: Develop and implement operational strategies, including operating models for clubs, processes, and SOPs.
  • Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Monitor KPIs to measure operational efficiency, cost control, and service levels.
  • Lead Operational Projects: Lead operational projects, such as the expansion of new sites, implementation of new technology systems, or process improvement initiatives.
  • Manage Supplier Relationships: Manage supplier relationships and contracts to ensure the best terms and conditions for services, equipment, and facilities.
  • Regular Site Visits: Regular site visits across all locations to ensure operational excellence.

People & Culture Leadership:

  • Develop and Implement HR Strategies: Develop and implement HR strategies to attract, develop, and retain top talent within the organization.
  • Talent Acquisition and Onboarding: Lead talent acquisition and onboarding, ensuring the recruitment of qualified fitness professionals and operational staff who fit our company culture.
  • Employee Value Proposition (EVP): Analyze the EVP, develop and improve it, and ensure it lives and breathes throughout the business.
  • People Engagement: Drive people engagement, including regular team surveys and benefits.
  • Training and Development Programs: Drive training and development programs to enhance staff skills and promote career progression.
  • Workforce Planning Strategies: Develop workforce planning strategies to ensure the right resources are in place to support business growth and customer demand.

About You:

  • Proven Experience: Proven experience in operations and HR/people management, ideally within the fitness, leisure, or premium hospitality/retail sectors.
  • Leadership Experience: Leadership experience with a track record of building and managing high-performing teams.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage at all levels.
  • Ability to Drive Change: Demonstrated ability to drive change and implement new processes in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Passion for Health and Wellness: Passionate about health, wellness, and fitness, with a commitment to our company's mission and values.
  • Relevant Qualification: A relevant qualification in L&D/HR is not essential but would be desirable/relevant experience in these areas also highly favored as part of the selection process.
